with hands-on mentoring.

In real estate since 1997, Nicholas Lockhart has helped tens of thousands of people learn how it works.

Clarity first. Confidence follows.

Retirement

The years you’ve worked for

Already have a plan, or still wondering? We can model the income your real estate may give you in retirement, then other pathways, so you can compare them side by side.

Retirement is here, or in sight →
Building

Keen to start, or on your way?

Not sure where to begin, or whether your strategy suits you? Seen it all before? It’s usually what you haven’t been shown that costs the most. A seasoned mentor beside you means every step is a considered one.

What MRD stands for

Mentoring

Guidance from people who have walked the path themselves. We teach you how real estate works and we stay beside you, whether you’re taking your first step or looking at retirement.

Research

We research the market, then we research you: your goals, your borrowing capacity and your comfort with risk. Both shape what we teach you.

Development

We don’t teach you to be a developer. We teach how property development works, from a pair of duplexes up, so you can use it wisely. Then personal development, so a later decision doesn’t undo all you build.

We are a boutique family business, so you deal directly with Nicholas, who has the lived experience, and our small in-house team. You’ll feel the support from the first conversation, and it continues. Nicholas mentors you and helps you comprehend, and when you’re ready to act, our in-house concierge looks after you, from contract to keys and long after.

How we work →

Where knowledge is lacking, fear fills the gap.

I know that fear. In 2008 we bought an investment property we planned to renovate and make our home. When the global financial crisis hit, the lender withdrew the building funds, so we let it to tenants instead. Within two years it was worth less than we paid. My wife was worried. I wasn’t, because I comprehended what we owned and why we were holding it. We held on, renovated when we could, and we live in it today. It is worth far more than we paid. That is what knowledge does. Whether you’re taking your first step, sure you’ve seen it all, or living from what you’ve built, it’s usually what you haven’t yet been shown that holds you back. We model your options with your own numbers, and the decision stays yours. Before you take our word for anything, ask to speak with people we’ve helped.
